Description
16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and
oil-painted facial features,small shaded
blue/green eyes with large black pupils and thick
upper eyeliner,accented nostrils,closed mouth with
downcast lips,two chin seams,well-detailed
ears,brown painted hair,firmly-stuffed body with
very wide disc-jointed five-seam
legs,stitch-defined hands,stitch-jointed
arms,nicely costumed in the Kruse style including
antique shirt,socks and shoes that may be
original. Condition: generally excellent,original
paint well-preserved,some slight fabric wear on
back torso. Marks: A 534 (left foot). Comments:
Kathe Kruse,the early model,circa 1911,known as
"froghand",the model was made for two years only.
Value Points: rare Kruse model in
wonderfully-preserved condition.
