Description
20" (51 cm.) An oval wooden ebonized base with
blown glass flat-sided dome displays a
wonderfully-preserved arrangement as commemoration
piece for a young married couple. The display
features a gilded ormolu frame with
doves,marquerites,Cupids,grapes,and other symbols
of prosperity and fruitfulness,along with nine
beveled framed mirrors,centering an oval center of
tufted red silk upon which is arranged the brideÞs
wax orange blossom coronet,her wedding bouquet,and
orange blossom wedding boutonnieres and other
accessories. Excellent condition. French,late 19th
century.
