Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque head with solid dome and
flanged neck,sculpted short blonde boyish
hair,painted blue intaglio-sculpted side-glancing
eyes,black upper eyeliner,white eyedots,one stroke
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with tiny
hole in center,accented lips,original muslin body
with bellows in torso,composition lower arms. When
the torso is squeezed,the doll "whistles".
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8774
Heubach (in square) Germany. Comments: Gebruder
Heubach,the doll was marketed as "Whistling Jim".
circa 1915. Value Points: charming little fellow
with facial sculpt to enhance the whistling sound.
