Description
7 1/2" (19 cm.) Each is one-piece all-bisque
figure of Edwardian-era Bride and Groom in
elegantly-sculpted wedding attire,each with
sculpted hair and painted facial features,and
having sculpted costume,the brideÞs long white
flowing gown and sculpted white gloves enhanced by
an added lace veil and bouquet,and the groom with
sculpted details of boutonniere,handkerchief,white
gloves and black top hat,along with his sculpted
long-tail formal suit. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 5065 (bride) 4497 (groom).
Comments: Germany,circa 1917,attributed to
Hertwig. Value Points: rare pair with wonderfully
detailed costumes.
