13" (33 cm.) Bisque head with blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,four teeth,wooden block torso with bellows,wire upper arms,wooden lower arms,painted stockings and black flat shoes with gold outline. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: probably Zinner and Sohne,circa 1890. Value Points: the jester is wearing his factory-original magenta and blue silk costume with lace and metallic gold trim,jester cap with bells,and is holding cymbals in his hands; when his stomach is pressed he claps the cymbals.
