Description
16" (41 cm.) x 11". The boxed parlor game has
decorative lid lettered "Loto Artistique,La France
et Ses Colonies",and contains within a number of
heavy stock 5" x 8" cards each imprinted with a
map of part of France along with images of
important buildings,people and villagers in
folklore costumes,along with a rose cotton sack of
wooden buttons with location labels,a smaller sack
with bone buttons for play,and a booklet with more
historical information about each region. The
rules of the game are printed on the inside lid
along with an original paper label from the luxury
19th century Parisian toy store "Au Paradis des
Enfants." Excellent condition. Delagrave,printed
by Fernande & Moret,circa 1875. Rare and complete
game.
