Description
24" (61 cm.) Felt swivel head with slender face
and elongated throat,brown painted side-glancing
eyes,long curly lashes,slight brows,accented
nostrils,tiny closed mouth,blonde mohair wig with
short curls and long braids that are attached to
the bonnet sides,elongated torso and limbs with
jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition:
good,some fading of felt colors,no shoes,few tears
in organdy blouse,moth holes in streamers.
Comments: Lenci,circa 1925. Value Points: the
beautifully-designed early Lenci lady is wearing
her original black felt gown with organdy puff
sleeves and decorative felt stripes in six
different colors,with felt flower
appliques,petticoat,pantalets,and a wonderful
bonnet with pleated organdy under-brim,lavishly
decorated with garlands of colorful felt flowers
and pink streamers.
