7 1/2 " (19 cm.) Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque elongated slender
torso,brown glass inset eyes,thick dark upper eyeliner,painted lashes,arched feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with center accent line,brunette human
hair braids,peg-jointed bisque arms and legs with daintily-cupped hands,painted white
stockings with blue two-strap heeled shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon
and Halbig for the French market,circa 1880. Value Points: rarer large size with most captivating
expression,all-original head and body parts,finest bisque and wearing her original muslin shift
and silk lace-edged dress. This doll appears in Florence TheriaultÞs "The Little Ones" page 17.
