Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Huret 58 Rue de la Boetie (incised on back wooden torso). Comments: Maison Huret, during the epoch of Elisa Prevost, circa 1910,her poupee with re-styled artistic model head and body reflected the fashionable mode of the early 20th century, and according to Leo Claretie, the French toy and doll historian of that era,she was "one of the persons who contributed to the development of artistic dolls in 1907." Value Points: an especially appealing example of the Prevost-Huret,with beautifully-painted features, fine original signed body, and exquisite silk costume that is likely original.
