with uniquely-shaped flat-dimensional face,round
black shoe-button eyes,embroidered features
including cheek dimples,reddish-brown worsted wool
hair,muslin torso and upper arms. Condition:
generally excellent,some costume fading. Comments:
Eddie Elf,by Volland,c. 1931,the doll was inspired
by a character in Johnny GruelleÞs book,Raggedy
Ann in the Deep Deep Woods. Value Points: rare
model with unusual stylistic construction,wearing
his vibrant original costume of pink and
golden-yellow felt.
