paperweight inset eyes,dark painted
eyeliner,lushly-painted lashes,rose-blushed eye
shadow,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
outlined shaded lips,separately-applied pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French
composition and wooden fully-jointed body with
plump limbs,straight wrists. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 13
(head,along with artist check marks) Jumeau
Medaille dÞOr Paris (body). Comments: Emile
Jumeau,circa 1886,although bearing the tete
designation,the bebe face more closely resembles
the just-preceding incised depose model with its
shy expression,and is considered a rare
transitional model. Value Points: superb beauty
with finest quality of bisque and painting,softest
mohair wig,original body and body finish,very fine
antique costume,bonnet,undergarments,worn silk
shoes (one with original Jumeau signed sole)
