Description
19" (48 cm.) Each is all cloth with
flat-dimensional face,flat-black shoe button eyes
on eye whites,red eye dots,four lashes under each
eye,thin line brows and smiling mouth with oval
red center,thickly-outlined red nose,reddish/brown
wool yarn hair,stitch-jointed body with red heart
stamp,sewn-on stockings with unusually thick
stripes,black shoes. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Johnny GruelleÞs Own Raggedy
Ann (or Andy) doll...Georgene Novelties..." (cloth
labels on dolls,Andy also has original paper
label). Comments: Georgene Novelties,circa 1940.
Value Points: wonderful fresh condition of the
early-Georgene era pair,each wearing complete
original costume,outlined noses,unusual striped
stockings.
