17" (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with lightly-pink tinted complexion, plump face, painted blue upper-glancing eyes, thick upper eyeliner, delicately-painted all-around lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, accented eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over cork pate, all-wooden fully-articulated body with swivel waist, articulation at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees. Condition: generally excellent, body not original but is appropriately sized and rare. Comments: porcelain head attributed to Adelaide Huret, circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful painting of eyes on the softly blushed luminous porcelain of the rare poupee, on desirable fully-articulated wooden body, fine antique costume including accessories and (unsigned) Huret ankle boots.
