stock board with lithographed paper cover and red
paper border presents a small bisque-head googly
doll with painted hair and facial features,blue
side-glancing googly eyes with painted upper
lashes,single stroke brows,button-shaped
nose,small pursed lips,five-piece Papier-mache
body with painted shoes and socks,flannel smock
with black belt; surrounded by a bounty of French
school supplies including
notebooks,maps,crayons,eraser,ruler,pencils,study
cards,and more. Condition: generally
excellent,unplayed with,some surface dust. Marks:
9594 Heubach (in square,on doll). Comments:
Gebruder Heubach doll,in original presentation for
the French market,circa 1915; the presentations
were offered in various Paris department store
catalogs as Etrenne gifts. Value Points:
