Description
15" (38 cm.) Each of all-cloth with
flat-dimensional face,printed facial
features,black pupils with slit on circular eye
whites,four lashes under each eye,thin-line brows
and smiling mouth with red center,rosy blush spot
on cheeks,four lashes under each eye,reddish-brown
wool yarn hair,stitch-jointed body,each with
vertically-striped sewn-on stockings (Ann,blue and
Andy red) and blue shoes. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: mystery maker,although
definitely of commercial make,circa 1940,with
facial model resembling Buddy and Sis,AndyÞs
costume elements like Molly-e BabyÞs,and his plaid
shirt identical to that found on Georgene
Novelties models,c. 1940. Value Points: the rare
pair,in perfectly preserved condition,with
wonderful expressions,and original costumes,are
shown in TabbatÞs The CollectorÞs World of Raggedy
Ann and Andy,page 110.
