18" (46 cm.) Composition head with black painted hair in short bob, painted facial features, blue upper-glancing googly eyes, painted upper lashes, freckles, closed mouth modeled in "O" expression, cloth torso and upper legs, composition arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: "c. 1925 M.N.S." (head) "Ella Cinders, Horsman Doll, Mfd in USA" (costume tag). Comments: Horsman, circa 1928, the 1926 film starring Colleen Moore was the inspiration for this early licensed doll. Value Points: hard-to-find doll with highly characterized features, wearing original tagged costume.
