paperweight inset eyes,painted lashes,dark
eyeliner,brush-stroked wide brows,accented
nostrils on dainty pointy-tip nose,closed mouth
with outlined lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair
waist-length wig,French composition and wooden
fully-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent,Marks: Paris Bebe Tete Depose 2
(head,with artist checkmarks) (Eiffel Tower symbol
and Paris Bebe on torso). Comments: Emile
Jumeau,circa 1892. His uniquely sculpted model for
Paris Bebe after winning the rights to the
tradename from Danel & Cie; the existing Danel
bodies were also won by Jumeau and were used on
his models until the supply was depleted. Value
Points: rare doll with most endearing expression
enhanced by beautiful quality of bisque and
painting,deep blue eyes,original signed body,fine
antique costume and shoes.
