hair,posed with arms folded and ankles crossed,and wearing her costume from the 1878 one-act
Broadway play,"Barney"s Courtship." Condition: generally excellent,some fading of facial
complexion. Marks: made by Mary Greene. Comments: from a series of theatrical dolls created by
Mary Greene,circa 1940,portrayed is the beloved actress Maude Adams (1872-1953),the doll
costumed and posed exactly as the promotional photograph for the presentation. Value Points:
one-of-a-kind doll with artistic presentation and charm.
