19"(48 cm.) Composition socket head,sculpted hair in bobbed fashion,sleep eyes,real
lashes,closed mouth,five-piece composition body,wearing original polka dot dress with organdy
collar,original undergarments,shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent,fine original finish.
Marks: Horsman Doll Made in USA (cloth label on dress). Comments: Horsman,circa 1939,the
dolls were advertised in "Playthings"of that year,in a series of four different sizes,named
Babs,Sue,Jane,and Nan,this being the largest,designed to compete with the Patsy market. Value
Points: rare-to-find doll especially in original costume.
