11"(28 cm.) Composition socket head with painted black hair having scalloped fringe around the
forehead,indented large eye sockets with tiny closed lids,protruding mouth with painted
whiskers,sculpted grey cap,all-wooden body with swivel waist and segmented limbs,painted
brown pants with red belt,red scarf,oversized wooden feet (one brown,one black). Condition:
very good/excellent,some craquelure on forehead,rub on cap. Comments: the inspiration of the
highly-characterized figure is uncertain,the construction style appears to be Cameo Doll Co,circa
1940. Value Points: rare and imaginative figure.
