13"(33 cm.) Composition head with sculpted red hair,large ears,painted facial features with large
blue eyes,freckles,wide beaming smile,cheek dimples,all-wooden body with segmented
waist,wooden fully-jointed limbs; the body and limbs are painted in imaginative bright colors of
red,yellow,tea,orange and black. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Howdy Doody by Bob
Smith. Comments: Cameo,late 1940s,inspired by the pioneer children's TV program that
originated in 1947. Value Points: well-preserved and colorful doll of American mid-century pop
culture.
