Description
17 1/2" (44 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, very chubby face especially of cheeks and chin, narrow brown side-glancing eyes, rose eye shadow, painted upper lashes, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with bow-shaped pursed lips, brunette hair with braids and bangs, felt body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (stamp on foot). Comments: Lenci, from the 1500 series, marketed as Grugnetto, circa 1932, the 1500 model was made for a few years only. Value Points: the fretful faced girl is beautifully preserved, wearing original vibrant checkered felt dress with applique strips, undergarments, black felt shoes, yellow hat, and is carrying fluffy yellow duckling with felt beak and feet.
