12"(30 cm.) The over-sized head of pressed velvet with unusual horizontal center seam has
classic Jiggs nose,stitched ears,painted googly eyes,brows,and wide thin line mouth,with
stitched-on top hat,stuffed body with velvet hands,felt feet uppers and twill soles,and is wearing
his original black woolen costume with blue silk polka dot vest,stars and stripes bow tie,and
spats over painted shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: portrayed is Jiggs from the
Maggie and Jiggs comic strip series of the early 1900s. Value Points: rare character is artfully-
constructed and beautifully-preserved.
