defined lashes and brows,hinged jaw with painted teeth,wire monocle,cloth stitch-jointed
body,composition hands and sculpted white shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Edgar
Bergen's Charlie McCarthy,An Effanbee Product. Comments: Effanbee,portrait of the
"celebrity"puppet,wearing his original white flannel summer suit with blue shirt and nifty polka
dot tie,circa 1940. Value Points: rare model is well-preserved,along with amusing chalk figure of
Mortimer Snerd peeking over a fence,autographed "To Billie,All the best from Edgar Bergen".
