eyes,broad beaming smile with row of teeth,and deeply-impressed chin dimples,strong
jaw,blonde human hair pulled into a ribbon-clad curl at her crown,five piece body with elongated
slender limbs. Condition: very good,complexion has darkened. Comments: 1946,the doll,a
portrait of child model Joy Pattison,was hand-sculpted and painted by American doll
artist,Dewees Cochran on a special commission. Value Points: included with the doll is her artist-
made blue cotton smocked dress,linen coat and hat,pajamas,and apron,undergarments,shoes
and socks,along with various photographs of Joy with Dewees Cochran while she is painting the
doll,other photos,and newspaper articles of the time.
