21"(53 cm.) Hard plastic head,blue sleep eyes,brush lashes,blonde curled wig partially
upswept,five-piece body. Condition: generally excellent,some age discolor and spotting on gown
and veil,sleeve and bodice lace has some tearing. Marks: ALEX faintly,on head. Comments: Circa
1951,one of six portrait model dolls released that year only. Value Points: Rare portrait having
elaborate ecru satin gown with lace skirting and insets,tiered five-layer bustle,floral side pieces
for head with draped and overlaying,full-length lace veil and metal Fashion Academy Award wrist
tag. Only a handful of these dolls have been located in the various portrait styles and very little
original company information is available about them.
