brows,real lashes,beauty spot,closed mouth with ruby lips,brunette mohair wig in elaborate
original braided coiffure,five piece composition body,wearing her original red satin dress with
black lace trim,silk flower bouquets in hair and on skirt,pink petticoat and panties,red shoes.
Condition: original finish and unplayed with,with light lines on face,split at sides of head and left
leg. Comments: Alexander,from her series of twelve portrait dolls first created about 1938,and
then re-introduced at the 1946 Toy Fair in New York intended as window display dolls but also
created for the market in very limited numbers for the then luxury price of about $75. Value
Points: "Carmen"wears her original costume and has superb coiffure.
