Description
11"(28 cm.) Each is all cloth with slightly-dimensional facial features,painted complexion and facial features,stitched-on mohair wig,cloth armature body and each with original artist-made costume. Included are Janet Gaynor in "Seventh Heaven"(1927),Marjorie Rambeau in "The Goldfish"(1922),Lenore Ulric in "Lulu Belle"(1926),Buddy Rogers as a polo player (film unidentified,autographed by Rogers),and Mae West (unidentified but recognizable). Condition: very good,well-preserved with minor fading. Marks: Made by Mary Green (cloth label on most,three also have paper label with name of star and film). Comments: made by artist Mary Green for Daniel Blum,publisher of Screen World Annual during the 1940s and used in publicity for that annual; the dolls remained in the possession of Blum until his death in the 1960s.
