style,painted facial features,shaded blue eyes in well-defined eye sockets,thick brows,prominent
nose,hinged jaw with painted teeth,cloth torso with composition hands and feet,sculpted shoes
and gloves. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: W.C. Fields An Effanbee Product. Comments:
Effanbee,circa 1928,portrait of the celebrity comedian,whose long career spanned
vaudeville,stage,silent films,talkies,and radio. Value Points: an apt portrait,wearing original
costume including polka dot tie,stick pin,spats and grey flannel top hat,with original Effanbee pin
and an added pin "W.C. Fields for governor".
