teeth,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig in upswept fashion,wearing (frail) original ivory silk
gown with pearl beaded trim,matching heeled shoes,embroidered lace
stockings,undergarments,pearls,Condition: very good,some light craquelure on throat,hands
worn. Comments: according to research by Billie Nelson Tyrrell,the doll portrays Maxine Elliott
(1868-1940),a noted stage actress of the late 19th century,she worked briefly in silent films
although no copies of her known films have survived. Value Points: rare portrait model with
distinctive expression,rare open mouth for this genre,original painting and original costume.
