15" (38 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead of adult lady, slender upturned face and elongated throat, sculpted grey hair in elaborate 18th century style, heavy upper eyelids over painted blue eyes with black upper eyeliner, closed mouth, dramatically-modeled bosom, muslin torso, elbow-length porcelain arms with elegantly posed fingers, on original wire-framed tea cozy base (added later muslin lower torso and porcelain legs under the frame), exquisite original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (blue bishop's sceptre mark inside shoulderplate). Comments: Dressel & Kister, circa 1910. Value Points: rare model with outstanding sculpting and fine state of preservation.
