7 " (19 cm.) largest diameter. Including four tinware objects,each decorated with a lithographed
image of Rudolph Valentino in his image as The Sheik,based upon drawings by Henry Clive,the
Australian-born artist who lived in California during the early 20th century,specializing in
portraits of famous actors and actresses. Some of these images were licensed by the American
tin-can company,Beaute Box Canco,who lithographed the images onto boxes,trays,ashtrays and
other tin containers. Included is a large cake box,smaller round box,ash tray,and a perfume and
powder set box. Excellent condition and vibrant colors. Circa 1920.
