16"(41 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features,brown side-glancing
painted eyes,white eyedots,grey eye shadow,painted long upper lashes,single-stroke
brows,closed mouth with bow-shaped lips,blonde mohair wig with long ringlet curls,jointing at
shoulders and hips,wearing original peach felt and organdy dress,bonnet and shoes,with
applique colorful felt flowers. Condition: generally excellent,costume slightly faded. Comments:
Italian,probably Alma,circa 1920s,the doll was inspired by Mary Pickford,having her signature
long ringlet curls and hazel eyes. Value Points: very lovely complexion and rose blushed cheeks
on the wide-eyed innocent-looking child.
