18"h. x 26"w. x 16"d. A wooden-framed toy theatre with lithographed paper designs in the Renaissance style including a suggestion of carved niches with theatre masks,has lithographed paper curtains,and unusual accessory pieces including three types of ceilings: forest,red drapes,or room ceiling depending on the use of the 14 background panels each with six side panels (a few side panels missing). The elaborate theatre appeared in the 1891 J.F. Schreiber catalog,named "Renaissance". Very good condition,some wrinkling of paper on front side panels,some typical overall darkening.
