18" (46 cm.) Having earthenware head with sculpted and painted facial features and hair in an apt portrayal of the British monarch,with bald pate and grey hair at sides and lower back of head,sculpted full grey moustache and beard,sculpted and painted eyes in deeply set eye sockets,brown brows,impressed cheek lines,closed mouth with downcast lips,muslin body with earthenware hands and shoes,wearing original formal suit. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: circa 1900,the doll aptly portrays British King Edward VII who served as monarch from 1901-1910. Value Points: strikingly-realistic portrait with artistic sculpting,painting,original costume,and well-preserved.
