14"(36 cm.) Each is all hard-plastic with sleep eyes,real lashes,painted features,bright rosy complexion,original coiffure,five-piece hard plastic body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Alex. Comments: portrayed are "Little Women",circa 1950; although the story and characters were long-time favorites of Madame Alexander,she was inspired to re-introduce the set with the 1949 release of a new version of the film,starring June Allyson,Margaret O'Brien,Janet Leigh and Elizabeth Taylor as the four March sisters,and Mary Astor as Marmee. Value Points: superb original condition of the four sisters,with vibrantly fresh costumes,coiffures and complexion,each with original clover leaf wrist tag and original box; Marmee does not have a box.
