16" (41 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta lady with her head turned to the side, brown sculpted hair with little tendrils of curls at forehead and then drawn over ears into a large braided coiled bun at the back of head, enamel eyes, closed mouth with slightly-upturned lip corners, two teeth, defined throat hollow and bosom, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted red stockings, black shoes, wearing early folklore costume with embroidered detail, coral necklace, basket of fabric flowers. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
