15"(38 cm.) Each is all-composition with uniquely-sculpted head,sculpted hair and painted
facial features,five-piece chubby toddler body. The boy,"Puzzy",with tossed red hair,forelock
onto face,large side-glancing googly eyes with three lashes and dash brows,button-shaped
nose,freckles,wide grinning expression on closed mouth,painted teeth,fat cheeks,wearing
original schoolboy costume; the girl with blonde hair having a wonderfully-sculpted curl atop
her head,blue eyes glancing upwards to the side,three painted lashes,button-shaped nose and
impish little smile,wearing knit dress and undergarments that seem original. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Puzzy (or Sizzy) c. H of P USA. Comments: designed by Herman
Cohn,for House of Puzzy (H of P),copyright 1948; the characters are believed to based on the
comic strip "Puzzy",known as the Good Habit Kids,so popular at the time that not only these
dolls were created but also an entire line of toiletry articles for children,coin banks,and more.
