Description
15" (38 cm.) Felt socket head with pressed and painted facial features, blue side-glancing eyes, dark eye shadow, long painted curly lashes, one stroke brows, blonde mohair wig with braided coronet decorated with a band of gilt metal ornaments, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (paper label on back hem, pencil labeled "Rita 143"). Comments: Lenci, circa 1935. Value Points: beautifully-preserved doll with vibrant costume especially of embroidered black shawl and carrying bouquet of colorful felt flowers. Private collection Linda Kellermann.
