Each with poured wax head with painted facial features,armature wrapped body,the man with black painted hair waved back from his forehead,thick brows,blue eyes,moustache,closed mouth and wearing a crepe paper uniform,and the woman has brown mohair wig in stylish upsweep,and is wearing crepe ppaper gown with painted silver decorations,pearl necklace,paper fan. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: created exclusively for The Art Shop of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles,circa 1920s,the man portraying the silent film actor,John Gilbert; the woman actress is unidentified. Value Points: beautifully-preserved uniquely-created dolls.
