Solid domed bisque socket head with deeply-sculpted brown hair in short boyish fashion and having well-defined forelock curl,painted blue eyes in deeply-set eye sockets with heavy eyelids,black upper eyeliner,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,antique boy's woolen costume,knit stockings,leather buckle-top shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 153 S&H 7. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1910,from that firm's very rare series of art character models,made for one or two years only. Value Points: the rarity of the model is rivaled by superb sculpting of hair and eyes,original body and body finish,and finest quality of bisque and painting.
