Wax head with sculpted short black hair with bangs and side curls,amber complexion,brown side-glancing eyes,thick black upper eyeliner and angled brows,closed mouth,muslin body,wax hands and feet,wearing black kimono and pants with embroidered detail Condition: generally excellent,fingers broken on one hand above the knuckles. Comments: according to research by Billie Nelson Tyrrell,the doll represented Anna May Wong (1905-1961) who first acted in silent films in the 1920s,including Douglas Fairbanks,"The Thief of Bagdad",her career spanned silent film,sound film,stage,radio and even television. Value Points: rare model with beautiful portrit-like face and fine costume.
