A simple craftsman-style wooden chair has an impressed wood-burned mask design on the back enclosing the initials M.P/M.A.A.,and is covered on the seat,base and entire back with hundreds of autographs,among them such early silent film stars such as Betty Compton,Charlie Farrell,Myrna Loy,Billie Dove,Mary Astor,and many more. The occasion of the "autograph party"is unknown,although the initial may provide a clue. 1920s.
