19"(41 cm.) The wax head has sculpted short curly bobbed hair,blue side-glancing eyes in
deeply-set sockets,closed mouth with row of painted teeth,armature body with original
pose,wearing original crepe paper wrapped costume including cape,and wand. The doll is posed
on her original base and has gold paper label of "The Art Shop,Ambassador Hotel". The
Ambassador was home to the Coconut Grove night club during the 1920s,the in-place to be
seen,and The Art Shop commissioned a series of wax dolls portraying the celebrities who
frequented the club. Excellent condition,especially beautiful face and painting. Circa 1920s.
