19"(48 cm.) Wax shoulder head with elegant posture of her head,black sculpted hair in curled
bob,brown side-glancing eyes,dark eyeshadow,closed mouth,armature-wrapped body,wearing
her original net gown with silver paint highlights,and holding a bow and arrow. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: To Billie,Affectionate Greetings from Billie Dove (ink autograph on
back shoulders of doll). Comments: circa 1920s,portrait doll of the Ziegfield Follies and silent
film star,Billie Dove (1903-1997) created exclusively for The Art Shop of the Ambassador Hotel.
Value Points: beautiful doll that is well-preserved and autographed.
