Description
11" (28 cm.) x 8". The estate of Rudolph Valentino was brought to auction in Hollywood on
December 10,1926 following his death earlier that year, and in the catalog prepared for that
auction, contents of his home as well as artwork, weaponry, jewelry, and memorabilia were
auctioned as well as his home "Falcon Lair",his automobile, saddle horses, dogs and club
memberships. The foreword to the catalog was written by his dear friend S. George Ullman who
also authored a biography "Valentino As I Knew Him" (published in that same year,1926,by Macy-
Masius). Included in this lot is the very rare Valentino auction catalog (cover edges rough),the
Ullman biography, and an April 1927 issue of Picture Play magazine with an extensive article on
the results of The Valentino Auction.
