Description
Each is all-composition,depicting characters from the long-lived comic strip created by
cartoonist,Chic Young,and 1938 film "Blondie". Including Blondie with painted blue side-
glancing eyes,blonde mohair wig,blue flowered dress (autographed on back torso "To
Billie,Love Blondie,Penny Singleton"); Dagwood with sculpted center-part brown hair,big
ears,"O"shaped eyes,wide grin of closed mouth,wearing his original business suit
(autographed on back torso "To Billie ?Dagwood' Arthur Lake"with a sketch of Dagwood); and
Baby Dumpling,a miniature version of Dagwood with sculpted blue shoes and romper suit.
Condition: very good/excellent,some light lines on Blondie. Marks: Knickerbocker (Dagwood
and Baby Dumpling). Comments: circa 1938,inspired by the movie that was released that year
starring Arthur Lake,Penny Singleton,and Larry Simms. Value Points: wonderful set of
American pop culture dolls of the early/mid 20th century with autographs by the celebrities.
