Wax head and torso to waist,with jointed long slender arms,the right arm modeled bent at the elbow,her head upturned,and having long slender throat and modeled bosom and waist,painted side-glancing eyes with white eyedots,dark grey eyeshadow,closed mouth,muslin lower torso,wax lower limbs,feet posed as high heels with painted shoes,and wearing original black crepe de chine evening dress,hair feathers,pearls. Condition: generally excellent,tiny nose dent. Marks: To Billie Tyrrell,Blanche Hackett Sweet (autographed on the back torso). Comments: portrait doll of the early 20th century stage and silent film star,Blanche Sweet,born 1896,and died at age 90 in 1986. Considered one of the foremost actresses of the silent film era,she acted under contract to lumionaries such as D.W. Griffin and Cecil B. DeMille; her career ended with the demise of silent films. Value Points: an apt portrait of a noted actress,enhanced with her autograph.
