Description
28" x 13" x 11". The two-room wooden doll house
has ochre painted exterior walls and bronze-green
base and columns with gilt accents. The larger
room has a set-back sun room with wide opening
windows and original wooden cornice that match the
window and cornice in the smaller room. The wall
and floor paper in each room are original and
there is an opening door between the rooms. The
parlor is furnished with a set of cherry-finish
wooden set by Eppendorfer & Nacke with classic
ormolu garland trim and pale blue silk
upholstery,comprising settee with mirrored high
back,curio cabinet,table,three silk upholstered
chairs and a stool; and the children's bedroom is
furnished with a bent wire baby bed,a tiny soft
metal doll bed and a soft metal dressing table
with marble top. The parlor has an exceptional
blue dome chandelier with ormolu frame by Erhard &
Sohne,and there is another ormolu lamp over the
doorway. Other accessories include telephone,bird
cage,vases with flowers,prints,Gottschalk potted
flowers,sewing basket,wall clock and a dog. Three
bisque dollhouse adults in original costumes are
included as is a small bisque baby. Excellent
condition. Germany,circa 1900,the rooms are by
Mortiz Gottschalk,the blue furniture,which is in
near mint condition,is by Eppendorfer & Nacke,and
the blue chandelier is by Erhard & Sohne. $2800/3800
