Description
6" (15 cm.) h. armoire. With wooden and sturdy
card stock frames,the furniture pieces are covered
with printed paper to simulate exotic woods,having
rich graining and burled effects. The ensemble
comprises an armoire with bone handles,green-paper
lined interior and a carved bone hanging rack on
the interior; matching chest with shaped top and
three drawers (one bone knob missing); slatted
side baby cradle,sleigh bed with lace covered
blanket and pillow,and a night stand with two bone
knobs. Excellent condition,two bends on bed legs.
French,mid-19th century,a rare and
wonderfully-preserved ensemble.
